HENRY ROLLINS To Guest On 'Meet The Bloggers' Tomorrow
September 4, 2008Cutting-edge online show "Meet the Bloggers" has landed another high-profile guest for its live show on Friday, September 5 at 10:00 a.m. PST / 1:00 p.m. EST. Former frontman for hardcore punk band BLACK FLAG, Henry Rollins is a passionate activist for human rights and will discuss the role independent media plays in society. Rollins' topic could not be more appropriate for "Meet the Bloggers", which is produced by Brave New Foundation.
At the cutting edge of technology, "Meet the Bloggers" capitalizes on recent breakthrough advances in Internet video to produce a show with network-quality production values, using live Internet video programs like Ichat and Skype. The studio for "Meet the Bloggers" is located in Culver City, but the guests and blogger participants are all over the country — in front of web cameras. "Meet the Bloggers" is effectively taking the next step in interview news technology. Instead of bringing the participants to the show, or sending a camera crew to tape an interview, the program sends its guests laptops, and brings the show to them.
Mr. Rollins is the latest in an impressive list of guests who have appeared on meet the bloggers so far. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Arianna Huffington, Rachel Maddow, and Michael Moore have all been featured guests on "Meet the Bloggers".
